A lifelong Yoga practitioner herself, Natalie approaches her teaching from an orthodox and Western medical background. Safe practice is paramount as students are encouraged to work within their own personal levels of fitness and experience in mixed ability classes.
Students will increase their body and mind awareness through physical posture work (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation, mindfulness and meditation. Relevant aspects of the Yoga philosophy are covered.

What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga is the most widely taught form of Yoga in the West. It is an ancient philosophy and exercise system that originated in India 5,000 years ago.
Typically a session of Hatha Yoga will encourage the student to work with the breath helping to re-establish correct breathing techniques whilst progressing through the postures. Regular practice will naturally increase flexibility and mobility of the joints whilst building strength and stamina, stability, co-ordination and balance. Students leave the sessions feeling relaxed, refreshed, strengthened and stretched. No previous experience is required and benefits can be gained from just one session. As practices such as Yoga become increasingly popular, scientific and medical research is continuing to show that becoming more present in the moment provides a helpful detox to an over-stimulated nervous system.
