workshop Workshops are run twice a year,in June and September, for those who wish to spend more time on their mat or cannot get to a regular class. During the workshops we are able to spend more time on all aspects of the yoga system which gives us the opportunity to really develop our practice and gain more experience.Suitable for all, places are limited so to avoid disappointment book your place today - click here for more information and booking

What should you know?

imageYoga is best practised on an empty stomach to prevent discomfort and indigestion. 1-2 hours after a snack or 4 hours after a meal is ideal.You should bring:

  • A proper Yoga mat helps to prevent you slipping during standing postures and gives you something to sit, kneel or lie down on for the other postures. It is your space.
  • Extra warm clothing or a sleeping bag will keep you warm during relaxation.
  • A blanket cushions your spine for certain postures
  • A bottle of water ensures hydration as required

Yoga is practiced in bare feet for better control and body awareness. However socks are good to keep your feet warm during relaxation. Any comfortable clothing is suitable. A belt or strap may help you achieve some postures if you are stiff in a particular area. Similarly,a small cushion or block can also be invaluable.
